Creative Challenge: Never tear us apart

I follow Print Magazine on twitter and they tweet a creative challenge every week. This weeks challenge is In 60 minutes, create a poster for a rock concert soon to hit your neighborhood. Instead of planning and executing your design via sketch or in the computer, make the poster completely out of torn things: pieces of paper, solid objects, found elements, and collage. I'll do my poster later on today. I am the big Fantasia fan. I love her! She's so underrated and super talented. I've been a fan since she was on Amercian Idol. I have both of her albums "Free Yourself" & "Fantasia". Now I am sooo anticipating her third album "Back to Me" available for pre-order now at Fantasia's Official Store! I'm most definitely getting this album! You should too!

Evocative Image Project

Theres this design project that I have to complete by Wednesday. I had to read 10 poems. Out of the 10 poems I had to choose 3 that stood out the most to me and create handmade images. When im finished I will have 24 images all together. I have to do the following for each of the poems that I chose:

• 2 line drawings
• 2 torn paper
• 2 color/value
• 2 using materials that you normally wouldnt use every day when creating art

The poems I chose are: 

• "February" by Margaret Atwood, 
• "For C."  by 
• "The Vacant Lot" by Gwendolyn Brooks

Im excited about the finish product. I will take pictures and upload them as the process goes on. Super Excited!
